What kind of mugs can be heated in the MW?

Mug is a kind of mug commonly used in the West to hold hot drinks such as milk and coffee. The name "mug" is transliterated as mug. Mugs are made of various materials such as ceramic, glass and plastic. So the question above, "Can the mugs be microwaved?" depends on the material of the mugs. Ceramic, glass, plastic 3 kinds of material mug can  be put into the microwave oven to heat.

 

 

1. Glass mug

For glass mugs, if it is glassware made of microcrystalline glass, borosilicate glassware or ceramic glassware, because of high temperature resistance, or can be, the choice of glass mugs to smooth surface not concave and convex shape of the kind. 2. Ceramic mugs

Be careful not to use a glazed stoneware mugs with metal decoration, otherwise the metal will create an electric spark in the microwave oven, not only damage the oven body, not to heat the food, more likely to cause a fire. Do not microwave ceramic cups if they are cracked. Because the micowave oven temperature that heats food place to adjust commonly is 100 degrees or so, the big ceramic soup mug of color under glazed that has decorative pattern gengrally also wont have too big damage, but the cup of color under glazed that had better choose contacts food without decorative pattern.

 

 

 

3. Material mugs

The only thing that can be put in the microwave is a plastic mug that can withstand high temperature. You can directly choose plastic mugs that can be used in microwave ovens or labeled with words such as microwave ovens, PP, PP+PS, etc. It is harmless and safe to use in microwave ovens. However, if the oil content is relatively large, or use ceramic and other materials of the mug is better.

In addition to the above three material mugs note, we had better choose a wide mouth mugs, do not cover the lid of the mugs when heating in the microwave oven.
